Richard Dawkins is well known for being an atheists and for his strong views on disabled children. People the world over have been confused by his anti-Semitic outbursts and his frothing evangelism for his New Atheism religion.
Dawkins is noted for his scientifically questionable books about biology, but he has become far more famous for his God Delusion book, and his constant stream of accompanying diatribes against good Christian people.
Many people globewide gain great comfort from their religious beliefs, and only a tiny percentage of those people fly aeroplanes into buildings or interfere with children. So why is Dawkins so hellbent on insulting all of those with faith and trying to turn them away from religion?
Today, IFLScience can reveal the real reason behind Professor Dawkins’ increasingly-unhinged outpourings of bile and hatred.
After Dawkins’ recent speaking engagement in Manchester, UK, a cleaner at the Bridgewater Hall found an unattended laptop bag. Inside, she found several pre-autographed copies of The God Delusion with a space left for a dedication, and this 2015 diary.
Leafing through the early pages of the diary, hard-working Sheena Entwhistle was startled. Several pages contained massive line drawings of arrow-pierced hearts decorated with phrases such as “RICHARD + LALLA TLA XOXOX IDET”. Leafing further through, she found Christian crosses made from the repeated words RICHARD, LALLA and JESUS.
It was when Sheena got past the introductory pages and into the actual diary entries that she dropped her mop. After catching her breath, she resolved to get in touch with IFLScience. From January through to December, the entries were hurriedly-written, distinctly non-academic and repeatedly proclaimed a deep love for Jesus Christ. The number 144,000 was written in various sizes on nearly every page.
When we received the diary, we sent it to our analysts. They determined that Dawkins is in fact a Jehovah’s Witness, and that he believes resolutely that exactly 144,000 souls will enter Heaven on Judgement Day. As laid out in his diary, his reason for trying to turn people away from God is based solely on his own selfish desire to reduce the pool of candidates and increase his own chances of sitting at God’s right hand!
Whatever mumbo-jumbo Dawkins comes out with next, it’s clear that God, should He exist, will take a dim view of his activities.
